What’s the difference between air purification and air disinfection?

Air purification refers to the filtering of particles from the air. Air disinfection is the inactivation of the infectious potential of microorganisms (viruses, germs, bacteria, pathogens) by damaging their DNA at every stage of their development. The AirAngel combines both technologies.
What does UV-C light do?

UV-C light is able to destroy the genetic material of viruses, bacteria and spores. High-energy, ultraviolet radiation neutralises pathogens, which means they no longer have the opportunity to multiply.
What’s the right device for me?

In order to find out which unit is the right one for an optimal disinfection result, each environment must be evaluated individually (floor area x actual room height). This is where the number of times air is exchanged each hour plays a role. Three exchanges of air are recommended for quiet areas and six to ten in areas of high traffic or increased activity (such as sports venues).
What does Triple Shield technology mean?

Triple Shield technology integrates three types of disinfection into a particularly effective overall package. HEPA filters, UV-C light and plasma are used to ensure maximum air disinfection and air purification.
Do AirQSense sensors really help?

AirQSense technology offers intelligent device control. Two independent sensors for fine dust (PM 2.5) and gas pollution (TVOC) continuously measure air quality. The smallest changes give the control system an impulse to adjust the cleaning performance efficiently. In addition, the current status of your air quality is displayed in colour.
Where’s the best place to set the AirAngel up?

For optimal effect, furnishings (decorations, flowers, partitions, ceiling hangers, etc.) must be taken into account because they influence the airflow and/or cleaning performance. The unit must be positioned so that it can draw in a large percentage of the room air.
Can AirAngel remove the coronavirus?

Yes, the air sterilisers significantly reduce aerosols (virus-containing small droplets) in the room air and sterilise virus-laden air. AIRANGEL’s purification stages eliminate viruses, including the coronavirus, and reduce the risk of infection. The separation efficiency of the entire system has been confirmed in the laboratory at >99.99%.
When does the UV-C lamp have to be changed?

The UV-C lamp must be replaced after approx. 8000 operating hours.
Can I change the UV-C lamp myself?

No. The UV-C lamp may only be replaced by qualified personnel.
Is UV-C light dangerous?

UV-C light is suitable for disinfection because it is able to deactivate dangerous viruses and germs. The effectiveness of UV-C technology is verifiable. UV-C radiation is harmless if it remains in the device and cannot escape. UV-C light is definitely dangerous for humans and animals if they’re directly exposed to this radiation. So it depends on the right dosage.

At what intervals should the filters in the AirAngel units be changed?

The pre-filter must be checked regularly and thoroughly cleaned (vacuumed or washed out) as required.

The HEPA filter and activated carbon filter cannot be cleaned, but must be checked regularly. They only need to be replaced when the system indicates by means of an LED indicator that the filter needs replacing. The HEPA filter’s average service life is approx. 6 to 12 months. The replacement frequency is determined by the fan speed and the air pollution level of the environment.
